We were blessed with our first daughter in 2005. We were able to be in the hospital when she was born and take her home the next day. We were blessed for a second time in 2008 with another beautiful girl. This time we were chosen after she was born and we brought her home when she was three weeks old. Our experience with our girls has shown us how different every adoption is - no adoption is exactly the same. We are thankful for the wonderful women who have allowed us to become parents and raise these amazing children. As adoptive parents, we know that bringing up a conversation about adoption is not always easy or comfortable. I decided to write a book to help adoptive families meet that need.
