Master Fang-Chih Lee has been teaching for over 30 years. Her career began in Taiwan, the Republic of China. Ten years ago Fang (pronounced fawng) moved to the United States. She holds a Master of Science in Physical Education degree from Springfield College as well as a Bachelor of Science from Springfield and Bachelor of Physical Education from the National Taiwan College of Physical Education where she was later appointed an associate professor. Fang received the Presidential Best Teacher Award (Republic of China) and was Taiwan’s National Martial Arts Champion. She also earned her Black Belt, Third Degree, in Kendo. In 2013 the World Tai Chi Chuan Federation granted Fang its most prestigious certification: International Tai Chi Coach, Fourth Degree. In October 2014 Fang brought eleven of her American students to Taiwan to compete in The World Federation’s World Cup Tournament. This team, the America’s Hometown Team, earned much recognition, winning two second place awards in international group competitions and fourteen medals in individual divisional competitions: three gold, eight silver, and three bronze. In addition, the Chairman of the World Tai Chi Chuan Federation presented Fang with an engraved plaque, “The Outstanding Prize.” Fang was also certified as a judge for future World Federation tournaments. A renowned teacher and authority on recreational management, Fang brings the benefits of Tai Chi and Qi Gong to her many students, including children and seniors. With the release of her two DVDs in 2010 and 2011, her growing number of classes in the greater Plymouth area, and her training of new instructors, Fang continues to demonstrate how the ancient Chinese arts she has mastered promote good health and long life.
