About

The Reverend Arlowe Price, owner and operator of the Savage Buffalo Carnival is absolutely one of Western New York's strangest entertainers. This human oddity has a long standing family history of strangeness. Grandson of Freak-show Master "the Late Great slim Price" whose mother worked at Crystal beach telling fortunes through the mediums of palmistry, tarot cards, crystal ball and even tea leaves. Raised among the carnival lifestyle Arlowe developed a taste for the macabre. While traveling with the Carnival Arlowe fell in love with the art of being a dunk tank clown. "I was so amazed by the ability of a dunk tank clown to completely break down a persons psyche in just moments. Yes, most clowns just sling insults at easy targets. but there are a rare breed that can take one look and know exactly how to get into your head and drive you crazy. I quickly found that i was the latter of the two." says Arlowe. Famous for lines like "C`mon fat boy ill let ya cheat , you can put the baseball in your belly button and pop that sucker on up here" and hey big for nuthin I bet you bought that muscle shirt thinkin the muscles came with it." "Ive been told by many of my customers how much clowns scare them, and yet they stay, and they pay to play. I believe its an attempt at conquering their fear." "My grandfather lit the freak fire within me by teaching me my first few tricks" Arlowe touts."Brain flossing with a balloon was my favorite". From there it was a natural unholy progression to creating his own horror based freak-show, working with acts like Super Killer Robots, Ace in the Hole, DisgraceD,House of Heathens, Skinbound, Jason and the Punknecks, The Hells Harlots, Filthy Still, Garett Thomas, Ventana, Award winning Tattoo Artist Mark Madden and Local award winning hip-hop artist A.J. Jordan. Arlowe has worked with artists crossing many genres. "I enjoy working with so many different artists and musicians all of them with different personality's and amazing talents. Im lucky enough that i get to do what i love for a living but i get to do it along with a-lot of great people." Doing shows like Sinners And Saints, The Vampires Ball, Evil Easter Eve, The Coney Island Cock-a-billy Roadshow, many charity events and even a few children's birthday party's as Noseblow the Clown, have gained him local notoriety. Known to "Light up the night." as the M.C. MiC Torch, a fire breather and just one of the many talented performers with local fire performance group Pyromancy, Arlowe can also sporadically found on a carnival midway in a dunk-tank as Dunkin Donitz shouting "Dunk the Chunk, Drown the Fat Clown, they call me Dunkin Donitz". You may even find this creepy clown looking like a normal person as an extra in Deftone Pictures new Movie "Ombis", or as a background actor playing a gross delinquent in Troma`s Return to Class of Nuke`em High (a movie in which arlowe has art department, wardrobe, and make-up credit). there will also be a feature of arlowe performing at the Niagara falls tattoo convention in the dvd extras to be released October 2013. Arlowe showed up to his first zombie walk for as of course a zombie clown with an inflated balloon hanging out of his mouth and the other end protruding from his sinus cavity and was immediately welcomed in to the horror charity's family. With a talent for understanding the human psyche and how to break it down, love of horror and an UN-naturally creepy clown laugh arlowe soon found himself at a charity haunted house causing children and adults alike to wet them selves."there's even a video on YouTube of me scaring a girl so bad she threw up, right in the street." Of course seeing a man putting a power drill up his nose or chewing broken glass would make any persons stomach weak. His most famous and of course most dangerous trick as of yet has to be one involving him resting his face on a pile of real Broken Glass while his assistant C.B. Price who he refers to on stage as "Fun-Dummy" lays a cinder-block on Arlowe`s face, and then works the crowd into a frenzy before smashing the brick to pieces with a sledge hammer. I guess the warning he provides in his opening "presenting demoralizing, vile acts of horrific idiocy!" is an accurate description. "Running my own freak-show is one of the greatest parts of my life but there is nothing like being a scare actor in a haunted house. being the boss of my own show is great. however being even a small part of the whole entity of a haunt is a tremendous feeling!" Arlowe`s words make sense when you think of how each room and each scare brings the customer closer and closer to the nerve wracking end when their all jittery and shaky and nervous and they can go "Thank god its over." "this year im proud to say i get to perform my freak-show at House of Horrors and Haunted Catacombs. There is nothing better than High quality horror entertainment and this is definitely one of the best places to find it. Another great thing being that a portion of the proceeds goes to charity namely the Variety Club." The Reverend Arlowe Price is not only known for his frighting persona but also his soft hearted side as well, in just over two years arlowe has helped to raise over 2 tons of food for the Food Banks of WNY, over $2000 dollars for Make-A-Wish, around 36 garbage bags full of hats gloves and scarves and winter coats for hearts for the homeless and has also donated his time performing free at local benefits for WNY community members.
