Hello to Everyone...I would like to introduce myself..Four-Twenty United Canna Care Center is a informational and educational entity that I...Okey Fawaz had started as a resource and advisory business that has been in the works since Our Act was established...I was a Journeyman Millwright as this began..Since, I have been disabled and no longer can work a normal job...I have read n studied every cultivation book and magazine I could get my hands on since the age of 15..At a very early age I had realized that everything we need for our health and happiness has evolved in our world with us..we just need to find it...In this Journey I have stepped up and tried to assist many individuals and groups understand the wealth that our Plant has to give..Starting out I would attend a local Dearborn Michigan Compassion Club meeting..over the course of a few meetings I found myself asking and helping to answer questions of my peers..It was easy to share...I felt a sence of comfort knowing that I wasnt alone anymore and could help..Over the next few meetings the propriators of the meeting were absent..I took it upon myself to step to the front of the room and try to keep the group together and informed..Two and a half hrs later still answering questions and building lifetime of hopes n dreams and I was hooked on Educating...From this point I reached into other nearby communities n groups and found I was able to connect and share thru a network of individuals..Downriver Compassion was the next group I was to be a part of...Director of Community Outreach was the title I was offered..a very important piece of a longtime and enjoyable partnership...Due to personal issues with my Family and Health I was unable to devote my entire attention to being such a figurehead in this group..From this I have have still managed to be an important educational facet in the community..I attended and secured a booth at Downriver Compassions Health and Wellness Fair, in which I provided a demonstration of Juicing Cannabis for health..Much before mainstream media was involved in the same...Thru out this I was also privilidged to become the 1st place winner of thier Kushberry Cup.. The spark ignited under my tail and I did everything I was able to push my way into the public eye..attending town hall meetings and private meetings with local Mayors and city officials to assist our movement forward..many meetings later and ordinances were passed with our help to allow our medicine to be accesible..I then was involved with securing 3 booths at the 2nd Annual THC expo..what a weekend that was Not only was I able to teach and share information will people of like minds..but also brought to light so much more for the people that had no clue..I even managed to have Music artist Afroman assisting at one of my booths to sign people up for future classes..Great unfathomable weekend was had...Now my next part of the journey was to find the home, a brick and mortar as they say..This was found during my visit to Detroits first Cannabis Cup..At this event I had met a gentleman by the name of Holice P Wood who had been instrumental in organizing the event..I was invited to attend his 4/20 Music and Arts celebration. During the 4/20 event I watched this man run his tail off to make sure the event was a success..I loved the excitement and love shared of the music and our plant..I wanted to be involved more.. Couple months later we sparked a partnership at Translove Energies Downtown across from Historic Eastern Market..This partnership evolved into a great friendship and experience...Thru the course of rebuilding and promoting this partnership with probably one of the most important figures in our movement..Translove Energies..I learned alot about the origination of our movement...If you get the chance you should enlighten yourself by researching the founders of Translove...During the course of learning at Translove..I was able to feed the need that so many had to learn about cooking with this plant..Weekly Cooking demonstrations along with Live music and a dinner was had By literally thousands over the course of about thirty Sundays..Everyone loved what we were able to share..Four-Twenty Managed to sponser Cypress Hill and Dagda to the Crowfoot in Pontiac and supply a party Bus for the event...again another major milestone to bring to light our love for the plant..Ultimately the partnership disolved on a bad note due to lack of communication and money..shortly after bringing nearly 4000 people thru as the offsite stop for the 3rd Annual THC expo...partnerships can be brutal...over the course of the next few months personal relationship issues with addiction and rehab of my x pushed me to once again try to establish another brick and mortar...This time was on Warren avenue..5 months of pushing and rebuilding of a horrible building and we opened our doors to daily events..Events that allowed people to relax and enjoy freedom...Movie nights..Karaoke..Farmers Markets and a amazing lounge facility..once again parterships had to be disolved...violence and greed in this business is not easy to handle..During this loss I also became the sole caretaker for my two sons and had to give up my home that many were fortunate enough to visit and enjoy..since that home I had moved my children to a new home and built a relationship with my Best Friend and now Mother of my beautiful daughter..Life has thrown so many obsticals to overcome...Now once again I must move, rebuild and restart a life for myself her and our children.. I am broke, I have lost, have been beaten...But I will Never ever give up.. thank you for allowing me into your lives...If I have helped along the way please shout it out... We will win this war together...our children are counting on it... much Love your friend Oak
