My parents were born in Sweden. They immigrated to the U.S. in their late teens, ages 17 & 20. I was born on January 17,1945 at Mount Carmel Hospital, Detroit,Michigan, on Ardmore Street. Siblings: one older brother, Eric H. Ulin, very smart. I graduated from Winship Elementary,Jan/1959 and graduated from Cooley High School in January of 1963 in Detroit, Michigan. After high school, I worked for Michigan Bell Telephone for 5 years. I married in 1966, delivered two sons, divorced 1977. Worked in hospitals for 35 years, starting in Ypsilanti,MI at Beyer Memorial Hospital till 2000 when it closed. Moved to Minnesota in 2000. Worked in Shakopee, MN and St. Paul, MN, retiring in 2007. Love being retired more than I can say. Love living in a small Mississippi River town. Now I am free to travel to see friends and family all over the United States thanks to my son's flight benefits. He is generous with me using the flight benefits from U S AIR. Good airline, try it yourself. No, I was not paid for that commercial :) I have four wonderful grandchildren, 3 boys and one girl. They are currently living in Germany with their mother. I do miss them a lot. My oldest grandson, Marc,19 has returned to the U S June 28, 2011 to his father in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am thrilled beyond belief. I just started working at Walmart in Woodbury, MN as a people greeter. Love greeting people and putting a smile on their face. Love the extra money too. I quit there after 7 months as Walmart had changed the duties of the Greeter. I did not like the change, so I quit. So now I do cat and dog sitting. I stay in people's homes and take care of their animals. This I LOVE SO MUCH. Wish I had more customers.
