"Jstarr Da Captain" born Jermaine Glover on December 11, to Carol. He was born and raised in Houston, TX which he still calls home, while setting records and making music. A resident Houston's Eastside he makes sure to not forget where he comes from. Jstarr grew up in a single family home without a father figure to give him guidance, which he needed. His life's lessons had him become the light in everyone's heart. Jstarr started out writing poetry and later became affiliated with Rap after attending a 102 Jamz Show featuring Digital Underground. It was at the show he witnessed a style of entertaining that stunned him. Jstarr also became a fan of Carubis and Eminem. Jstarr started exploring the world of rap quietly. No one knew exactly what all Jstarr dreamed since only close friends had the pleasure of hearing his freestyles. A close friend felt that he should pursue his venture and see how far it would go and so he did just that. Jstarr makes it a point to portray his music with a transparency into what his life is: the things he has witnessed, been through and hope for- Being an Award Winning Artist. Now pay close attention and prepare for the ride to the next level.
