I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. As a kid, I enjoyed playing street baseball and football. Being an inner city kid, we also put an "inner city spin" on the usual kid's games of tag, hide and seek, and many more. I won't go into detail, but much of what we did in the name of fun was crazy and dangerous (and sometimes illegal)to say the least. Back East, lacrosse is big and I played it well enough to get accepted into West Point. I served seven years in the U.S. Army, obtaining the rank of Captain before getting out in 1988. While in the army, I started playing rugby. When I got out of the service I played rugby for the Denton (Texas) Rugby Football Club. In 2009, I took a bridge to retirement from Texas Instruments after working 22 years at various sites in and around Dallas, Texas. Too "young" to really retire and somewhat tired of the IT field, I went back as close to my army roots as I could get and started a career in law enforcement. Although I'm 51 years old, I'm a "rookie" police officer with the Haltom City Police Department. The work is demanding, but as many officers will tell you, it's one of the best jobs in the world. I'm happily married with a daughter Amanda and son Joseph. After overcoming prostate cancer in 2004, in 2005 I got in pretty good physical shape. I have let myself slip some since then and now want to get back to where I was in 2005. I believe Team Beach Body will help me obtain the nutritional and fitness goals I've set for 2015 and beyond.
