About

I grew up in Georgia, married and moved to CA. for a few years and had a daughter, Phyllis. Then we moved to Northern Virginia and had a son, Jimmy. We lived in VA. for about 15 years, and then moved to Colorado Springs. Lots of things happened and now I am alone here in Colorado...not a blood relative within hundreds of miles and I am wondering what I did to deserve this. MY husband and I are still married but he has been back in VA for several years and has a "companion". My next husband is going to be a golden retriever. No human being has ever loved me the way our golden retriever, Brandy, did. My daughter lives in VA. Beach with her husband and my grandson, Blake. Blake has lived with me all of his life until recently. He needed a man in his life and his step father, Rick was willing to do it. My son, Jimmy, lives in Maryland with his wife, Carrie, and two little boys...Josh,5, and Evan 3. They are thinking of moving to Ohio. If they can, their standard of living will improve. I was a teacher...Montessori Education...in VA. I loved the job, but didn't continue here in CO. for several reasons. I work now on a little job at the Air Force Academy Ice Arena. I work 2 or 3 times a week. I love the people and being on the edges of the figure skating world. I like knowing a little about what's going on. I love to go to competitions by myself and sit for hours watching other peoples kids skate. I usuallly run into friends at these events. We have a few children from the Academy who are competitors and I cheer them on. Usually it is only their families that come to watch. I think they apprciate having someone else make an effort to watch them skate. I skate some, and need to skate more. I had a sore foot that kept me off the ice for months. Now I need to lose the weight I added from not getting enough exercise. Guess that's it.
