Photo above is a Happy Grandmother of Maison Brian Ferm taken about 3 weeks old, mid Septermber 2009! Born in Evansville IN to Monica and George Ellspermann. Older sister Jane Ann, seven years my senior, older brother Daniel George who unfortunately passed in May 2001 at a young age of 49 of a heart attack, Thomas Mark Ellspermann, 17 months my senior and ME, Monica Lynne. The last of four children and a wonderful life and beautiful family. My father was employed with Whirlpool, I spent the first 4 + years in Evansville IN and then because of promotions we moved to St. Paul MN for 7 years. My mother who an only child was very close to her mother Mattie May Reynolds who moved with us to St. Paul, who moved and lived with our family until she passed away when i was a junior in college. When I was in the fourth grade, we moved to St. Joseph MI. 12 and in the fifth grade at Lincoln Elementary I was diagnoised with Type 1 Sugar Diabetes and spent 5 days in the hospital learning how to eat and practiced giving shots to "an orange." Upton Junior High was were I went after grade school at Lincoln, I was a cheerleader in 7th grade and involved in band for a few years and choiral for the remainder of Junior High and High School. I thoroughly enjoyed choir and the various musical productions I participated in during my school years. Too Much Fun! After graduation from St. Joseph High School I attended Michigan State University and have remained in the "Greater Lansing Area" to this day. I had a great upbringing and today feel extremely fortunate for all that I have been able to experience as a youth and wish that life for my family was as it was for me. I foolishly did the weight gain thing that some feshman do and had too good of a time at State. I graduated in May 1981 in Personnel Administration. I had waitressed at Bill Knapp's during my last two years of high school and through college. I kept that job until employed in a career job as Director of Personnel/Human Resources for Goff Food Stores, Inc. and had the best 15 years of my working life. My sister Jane, who was to graduate that year that we moved from St. Paul to St Joe, stayed behind in St. Paul MN with my Grandmother Reynolds in an appartment, while the remaider of our family rented and then bought a house in St. Joe on a great revene bluff that you could walk through, explore and get to River Park the back sticks way. The beauty of the spring, summer, winter and fall walking through the rough was such a great experience in my life. I remember climing trees with my brothers and Tom and Dan showing me how to go out our back door, yard, down the 35 foot sloop th get to the little creek and following the creek, got us to the Riverview Park on the St. Joseph river which bended through RiverView Park.
