I am blessed with a fabulous family and I have enjoyed practicing law in OKC for the last 38 years. I'm the Head of the Estate Planning Center at Atkins & Markoff. I was born in Havre de Grace, Maryland and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I received my undergraduate degree in 1971 from the University of Oklahoma and received my law degree from Oklahoma City University Law School in 1975. I have maintained a commercial and insurance trial practice in Oklahoma for thirty-eight years. I'm a certified mediator, trained by the American Arbitration Association, and have mediated and arbitrated over 1,500 cases. I am a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Oklahoma County Bar Association, and the Association of Attorney-Mediators. I have served as Treasurer and Chairperson of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association. I am licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Oklahoma, the United States District Courts for the Western District of Oklahoma, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. I have been married for 37 years and have 3 adult children. In addition to my work as an attorney I teach an adult Sunday school class and sing in my church choir.
