A Veteran is someone, who at one point in thier life, wrote a blank check payable to the United States of America for an amount up to, & including, his/her life. Regardless of personal political views, that is an honor, & there are way too many people in this country who no longer remember that fact. ............ To all the shipmates I have met, I salute each of you today. It was a pleasure to serve beside each of you as we kept the flag of freedom flying high. I am very grateful for your service, the continued dedication of those still active and remembering everyday those shipmates still 'manning the watch'. Please take a moment of silence to remember those on eternal patrol and paid the ultimate sacrifice for our liberties. With the utmost respect, thank you!"
