About

Life is what you make it! I was raised in Georgia, born in West Georgia. My mother was from a family of 12 brothers and sisters. I have lots of relatives I don't even know. My dad was from West Georgia and had a smaller family, brother and a few sisters. I have a brother born in Atlanta doing his own thing somewhere in life with a couple of young kids. I lived in Atlanta from 1960 til 2003. My dad had service stations and I was raised working. My 1st year to work with him at 10 years old in the summer I was given $1 an hour. I worked some weeks 100 hours to be rather rich for a 10 year old! We moved several times in Atlanta. My mother was raised on the farm and learned to cook for the huge family, she could make any dish from scratch and to this day unmatched in my book. My dad passed in 1990 and my mom in 1984. My dad and I jointly opened an Auto repair shop in 1984, he enjoyed the social side of it more, talking politics with customers. The Auto Shop continued til 2000. I was the enthusiastic baseball player from an early age. I started at 8, being left handed and able to throw the baseball pretty fast and hit it hard too I had a successful time playing through college with scholarship at Mercer University in Atlanta. Graduated in 1978 with a B.S. in Health and Physical Education. Did not pursue the baseball despite being told personally by Whitlow Wyatt the former pitching coach for the Atlanta Braves, I would be the only one to keep myself out of the pros, he was spot on there. Stayed on the automotive side of life and dove into the computerized invasion of the automobile, became certified as a Master Technician in several areas, was willing to solve any problem. When I got bored with repairing cars, I learned more about people and took more interest in repairing people. Then figured out I had to fix me too! I have 2 beautiful daughters who are full of vigor and life and smart and have a good outlook on life. My most precious memories is of their childhoods. My wife and I live near the ocean and love it! I guess I need to write a book because there is so much more. I am also a Grandpa, Brianna had a son Brantley who is amazing!
