About

I am a small-town, competitive country girl with a lot of quirks. I have been (and still am) happily married to my wonderful husband Chad for 15 years. We have twin girls who are 11 - Sadie Elizabeth and Sarah Elise. I do not plan to or want to have any more children - EVER. My life is complete with our family of four. I have been a Registered Nurse since May 2004, and my major passion in nursing is being an educator and mentor to other nurses. I love having the opportunity to share my love of the nursing profession in academia at McNeese State University! I LOVE sports, especially football. Specifically, I love fantasy football or anything that I can turn into a competition for that matter. I might be the most competitive person you've ever met. I am a die hard Kansas Jayhawks Men’s basketball fan!!! Rock Chalk I am a Type A person who is organized and prompt. I can't stand to be late to anything. My mind is a perpetual to-do list and calendar. I have a photographic memory, am very competitive in all things, and am a die-hard perfectionist. I do not like to be wrong and I don't like to lose. Just ask Chad about the Wheel of Fortune debacle! I saved the best for last. Last, but certainly not least, I love Jesus, my Lord and Savior. I’ve also had the huge blessing to be able to lead both of my daughters to their own relationship with their Savior, which was one of the biggest honors and blessings I could ever know!

  • "1. It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it. Aristotle 2. The First Amendment is often inconvenient. But that is besides the point. Inconvenience does not absolve the government of its obligation to tolerate speech. Justice Anthony Kennedy (1936 - ) As the Founding Fathers knew well, a government that does not trust its honest, law-abiding, taxpaying citizens with the means of self-defense is not itself worthy of trust. Laws disarming honest citizens proclaim that the government is the master, not the servant, of the people."
