I love my Lord and family. I have a great husband - Richard Keith Kyle. Would like to tell my story. . . Worked as RN for 35+ years, have rheumatoid Arthritis since i was 25 years old. Didn't let it get in my way of having a familly or career. 2008 new auto immune disease Guillian barre (mine is chronic and will not go away) reared it's ugly head - the body attacks it's own nerve coverings. So my brain works extra hard to deliver all messages to my muscles especially my legs and feet. they feel totally asleep all the time. But I walk! Rehab was hard but worth it. i learned alot about myself and what I can do with my back up (God, My husband, kids, and friends!). Worked 2 more years until 12/2010. My husband had a heart attack - no previous signs. A surprise except his lifestyle had to change and it did. He listened to this warning. Clean and sober since then:)) What another blessing! Then 3 weeks after his HA my bone marrow shut down due to meds I was on for RA. 0 white cells, 6 hemoglobin (12 normal), 17,000 platelets (150,000 - 400,000) Had isolation in hospital 10 days after Christmas Due to great medical care they transfused me and gave painful meds to KICK start my bone marrow and it worked! Thank God. Prayer is essential. So Docs said no more working!! Time to take care of myself - not everyone else. :( nursing had been my life. Many don't survive Guillian Barre when the nerves that control the diaphragm are stripped of their covering, that was one area skipped over for me. even my vocal cords were affected. explain that! Pancytopenia (bone marrow shut down) also many don't survive. I even had a transfusion reaction. Dr and nurses came to my room and told me they didn't think i would survive the night. But here i am to tell my story. God, Family, great medical care, tough Rehab, love got me through so far. Thank you to all who were there for me, prayed for me and cared for me.
