About

I am recently retired from a job I loved as a paraeducator. It has taken me about a year to wrap my head around having to retire early from my job at Spanaway Lake High School (SLHS). I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) a little over 3 years ago. I've actually had symptoms for many years. It has been life changing that's for sure. I loved my job and the people I was fortunate to work with. They were my work family, a second family who I enjoyed being around and sharing life with. This was another very hard thing for me to get used to. Life without my work family come September. It will be OK though as I plan to volunteer or become a substitute para for only my former co-workers so I can stay connected to my kiddos!!! I can't let go of them so easily. Best part is I live just a mile down the road!!! Retirement shall be a new adventure that I am now embracing!!! :-)
