Father, husband, “lover of freedom,” I was born on the south side of Chicago of January 1973. My father (a steelworker) married my mother (a banker) in 1972, after he returned home from the Army. My sister and I attended parochial school from the time I was six years old. After high school I went to boot camp at Camp Pendleton MCRD, California. Upon completion of basic training, I become a “Red Patch” with 1stFSSG, 1stLSB, H&S Company, Communications Platoon. I married my first wife shortly after returning from Operation Restore Hope –Mogadishu, Somalia. After completing my four year enlistment, I returned home to Chicago. Now divorced, I was involved in open relationships, one of which resulted in an unplanned pregnancy. Although unexpected, I was thrilled at the prospect, but was left mourning the passing of my unborn son. For the next several years I worked as a sales district manager, customer service representative for a local financial institution, store department manager and a field supervisor for a corporate security company, while attending South Suburban College part-time. In 2003, I was accepted into the Cook County Sheriff’s Department and placed a bid in CCDOC, Division X – Maximum Security. I devote much of my time to caring for my daughter, she is "Daddy's Lil' Girl". Currently, I am trying for advancement to Sergeant with CCDOC. Pray for me.
