About

I retired from my former career as a METRO Mechanic in 1999 to take care of my Mom and our sons. Well 10 years have gone by and Mom passed on and the boys have graduated H.S. and become adults. Now it's time for me to pick up where I left off. Back at METRO as a Bus Operator again (June 2009. I have been back on the job now for over 3 years and I chose an assignment back home at Division 8 on the Metro Orange Line Busway. I was assigned the largest bus in North America, METRO #9495 the only 65 foot articulated bus ever made. I really loved the line, the bus and the people I carried. Getting up at 0330 was hard some times, but it was nice getting off work early. Well, here we go again, I started back as a METRO Mechanic March 12 2012, funny how I keep repeating myself, I really look forward to fixing the buses, I enjoy problem solving. I have been working at Metro's main shop(CMF) first in Mid-Life where we refurbish buses from the ground up, the work is hard and dirty and I love it. Now I work in Running Repair doing all the jobs in this Department. I have a great partner and the work is satisfying. Sometimes I get to drive our restored 1958 GM Coach to events and in parades! It's a great honor and I'm very grateful.
