About

Born Allegan, Michigan on a cold, snowy Feb. day. Lived in Gobles area until age 12, moved to Chicago area (Hinsdale). Moved around Illinois and Indiana, married badly, back to Michigan, then El Paso, TX where I met my current husband. After divorce obtained, rescued him from El Paso and brought him to beautiful Washington state. A little hard to say this summer because summer is only waving at us, not staying around. Didn't even plant our usual large garden because nothing wanted to grow but weeds. Have two greenhouses that we have been eating out of since early April, so one year off won't be so bad. Our cherry tree, which has not ever produced more than a handful is FULL this year. Guess they like the weather. Lived in Eastern Washington for 18 years, worked as LPN, multiple jobs involving the fruit industry, then became a journeyman printer at The Wenatchee World for 10 years, then back to college for RN -- both of us! Ed graduated in 1991, me in 1993. Worked rehab for three years, then home health and hospice for 5. Became disabled and have spent the last nearly 9 years at home. Live on beautiful river that has only flooded us once in 16 1/2 years, so count our blessings. This fall will put on new siding and roof -- much needed but ouch!
