Physician working in clinical ethics, patient safety, and performance improvement in health care. Currently director of the integrated ethics programs at the Lexington VA Med Center and adjunct professor at the University of Kentucky College of Public Health in Lexington, KY. Background: 20 years practice in cardiovascular surgery and fellowship in clinical medical ethics at the MacLean Center, University of Chicago. I provide an experiential training program to VA Medical Centers across the US in effective disclosure of adverse events to patients and families.
