Perry Martin (Producing Artistic Director) is the President of Evangeline Entertainment, a company that offers development & consulting services for the theatrical, television, film, concert, talent, and special events industries. He is the co-founding Producing Artistic Director for the Halifax Theatre Company & the Bayou Playhouse. National television appearances include: CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Kuralt, ABC Nightly News & CNN.Mr. Martin was awarded two National Telly Awards for Advertising and is an annual judge for the Daytime Emmy Awards. While in New York, he worked for The Greater Talent Agency as a lecture agent for celebrities such as Mel Blanc, Hunter S. Thomson & Stephen King. New York theatrical credits include: world premieres of The Kingfish (Jonh Houseman Theatre), A Different Woman (Collective Cabaret), Mirrors of Chartres' Street (SoHoPlayhouse) and Katrina, the Mothering-In-Law of Em' All (SoHo Playhouse), and he was the developmentalproducing director for the Inter-National tour of Smoke & Mirrors, starring Anthony Herrera of As The World Turns. Mr. Martin directed and produced over 140 plays including: World premieres of Earl Long in Purgatory, Ain’t Dat Super, Miz Caraway & the Kingfish, Spiritual Gifts, Tant Que Durera La Terre, A Confederacy of Dunces, Floating Palace, Turtles & Alligators, Torn Page, the Pulitzer Prize nominated Rising Water, and four newly discovered Tennessee Williams plays. Mr. Martin recently co-wrote the screenplay anddirected a film adaptation of The Palooka by Tennessee Williams starring Bryan Batt (Mad Men). Currently, he is working on the screenplay of Okra, a feature film adaptation of Anne Galjour's hit Cajun comedy play. He is also writing A Blur in the Eye of the Storm, a dark comedic novel.
