About

Danielle Andrews Bio As long as I can remember I wanted to be a singer. My dream came true when I was signed to Motown Records, with my group Shades in 1997. Our hit single “Tell Me I’ll Be Around” made number 19 on Billboards R&B Top 40 charts. Along wit a great single, we were also fortunate enough to work with some of the industries’ top producers, for instance; The Characters, who produced our single, Boys to Men, Montell Jordan, Noontime and Eddie F., to name a few. In 1998 we became spokeswomen for Coors Lite Beer and went on a 20-city tour across the United States. We also went on our own 28-city tour act for Keith Sweat. The Keith Sweat tour was also a multi-state tour which included Hawaii and the Bahamas several times with groups such as Dru Hill, SWV, Tyrese & Mary J. Blige. After the group disbanded, I had the opportunity to sing backup for Enrique Iglesias for a short time, touring all over the country Istanbul, Turkey. Some of the people I had the privilege of touring with included Whitney Houston, Destiny’s Child, Bon Jovi and Lenny Kravitz. My vocal sound is a cross between Diana Ross and Tamia—a mature sound. My influences range from Whitney Houston to Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and India Arie. I consider my voice smooth with a powerful vocal range.
