About

Start Livin' Or Start Dyin' i grew up in california. born and raised. my dad passed away when i was 18 in 2004. ever since life has been much more complicated for me, but none the less still making the best of it all. i consider myself a christian, tho recently my faith hasn't been as strong as it was about 5 years ago. i learned how to play the drums when i was 8, at the age of 12 or 13, i discovered Green Day and after i devoted the rest of my life to playing music. so far its gotten me places, and im very blessed and thankful for it. soon after learning about green day, i then decided to teach myself the guitar and to sing. both which still need much more fine tuning haha, but im getting there. i have an awesome family, who are always there for me, and i am so thankful for them. after high school, i tried going to school and didnt make it haha school just never felt right for me, i always felt my time would be spent better some other way, like writing or practicing. ive always had a "leader" mentality, i never followed anyone except for my dad, billy joe armstrong from green day and my heart. i started and led 3 bands: "anomaly" then The Banished" and now which i currently lead, my masterpiece, "POUNDERS", some people would say its named after me, but i like to say its named in remembrance of my father, david pounders. soon after realizing school wasnt for me, i found a summer job at Great America, a theme park, playing guitar in a show, singing and dancing to old classic rock tunes, it was truly a blast. when the 2 seasons of that were over, i then auditioned for STOMP, and 2 weeks later got a phone call asking me to take a chance of a lifetime, and wow, was it unbelievable. i learned so much about myself and about music and about working with other musicians to make amazing music out of everyday objects. after living in vegas for 2 and a half years performing nightly, i then got an offer to play on the entire "Vanz" warped tour in 2008. and i was able to travel all the way across the nation in a tour bus and back, and even into canada. that was another amazing life changing experience. and now im home with the family and friends, working so hard to get my Band "POUNDERS" to the next level. i am a persistent and stubborn SOB, and no one can tell me it cant be done, screw everyones "plan B", im not wasting anytime on failure. all my focus goes to one dream, one goal, and thats success. one day, u will all see what never giving up truly means, cause i will show u.
