Flew helicopters in Vietnam then finished college at San Jose State in California. Spent a couple of years in the middle east flying for a Dutch company, bombed forest fires back in the US, then spent 2 years flying helicopters in Indonesia. Gave it up in 1980, went back to school, and later went to work for a computer mfg here in California. 22 years later I got an "early retirement" when the industry slumped and went to work writing software for the USGS in Menlo Park . I retired in 2014. Got married in 78 and had 2 kids. My daughter graduated from San Diego State and got her masters at Georgetown in DC. My son graduated from Cal Poly majoring in Math and my wife is an RN. My hobbies now are restoring old motorcycles,reading and traveling. I'd love to hear from anyone from those old days.
