About

I was born in rural Brown County, Ohio. I attended Decatur School through the fifth grade. I moved to Georgetown, Ohio. I graduated from high school there in 1963. I still have many close friends from my graduating class. I was married to Norman Jones in late 1963. We had two sons and were married for 11 years. My sons and I continued to live in Georgetown until 1984. I worked in the fabric and craft department of the Ben Franklin Store, then became Clerk-Treasurer of the village of Georgetown. In 1972 I became a Christian. I attended the Georgetown Baptist Church for 8 years, then Fellowship for Jesus. In 1984 I married Greg Abdon and moved near Williamsburg. I went to work at my church. I still work there as an assistant administrator. The church is in Williamsburg and is now called Clear Mountain Community Church. It is the best job in the world. I now have 5 grandchildren (2 in Kentucky; 3 in Florida).
