Im a seral hermit. I enjoy my solo alone time much more often than most and have a bad habit of not answering the phone and disappearing. One friend calls me the great "Who Deany?" Although frustrating to most, those who hang in there know Im loyal and great times, laughs an memories abound when I come up for air. Enough of the selfish, introspective me. In my spare time Im obsessed with the style, beauty and classic lines of vintage Italian scooters made by Vespa and Lambretta. I have 15 of these beauties and counting (intervention anyone?) ranging in age from 1959 to 1979. Why - you ask in disbelief?- they have a soul, they're icons of style, they're fun to ride, you can't take yorself too seriously when mounted on one . . . and . . . they feed the the mind and hands as soul craft in their restoration. On the professional side, Ive spent most of my working career in hospitality management for Hotels, Resorts ans most recently Wineries. Can you say burnout? Soooo. . . . the ever evolving, not content with t status quo me has spent the last year exploring wine production. First in the cellar witrh the Winemaker and this year iin the great outdoors with the Vineyard Manager. We shall see - the journey of self-discovery drags on:) What is my goal in life? To find a blance between life and work, to continue to travel the world and to buy just "one more" scooter.
