Grew up in a very small town. Youngest of 4 siblings(Jorge,Candy,Linda and myself); Went to college at Texas A&M University Kingsville-graduated May 1997. Moved to Dayton Texas following graduation and taught 3rd grade at Dr. E.R. Richter Elementary for 3 years, met my husband playing sand volleyball at the apartment complex I lived at, fell in love with my husband and all his family. Moved to Austin texas with my husband. Taught 2nd grade at Holy Family Catholic School and also worked part time at Sylvan Learning Center for 1 year. Got married on January 20, 2001- gave birth to my son Braeden Anthony Brotherton on August 14, 2001. Stayed home for 5 years-traveled to many places during that time-began substitute teaching in 2006. Took a full time teaching position at Highland Park Elementary as 5th grade Math and Science teacher for 1 year. Taught 3rd grade at HPES for one year. Currently working as Educational Associate at Windermere Elementary in the IBC unit.(2nd year) I now hold a EC-12 grade Special Education certificate and can't wait to get a full time(pay) Special Education job. I'd love to work in the area of behavior.
