About

As "Jessie Mae Butler" always says, ain't is a word, and can't ain't. Was born, had great childhood, knew early that I'd be a copywriter, wrote my first script in the 7th grade (for P.E. class), attended college for two years, dropped out to work on Madison Avenue, moved to Atlanta in 1974, did some local telly, went corporate, wrote and directed my first play in 1977, married in 1978, gave birth to Jessica, my only child, the same year, stayed in IBM communications until 1989, started own business, went large, went bust, left marriage, did brief stint at Black Enterprise, went freelance, and now work as a fulltime grandmother of three, occasionally writing short plays for fun, feeding my blog, dreaming of Caribbean escapes with a handsome companion, and hungrily eyeing the two-seater Audi convertible for sale in the lot down the street.
