Grew up in North Ogden, UT. Graduated from Weber High School in 1974 and attended Weber State University, graduating in 1983. Served an LDS mission in Milano Italy between the years of 1975 - 1977. Married to Trudy L. Waters March 19, 1981. Have three daughters: Karen L. Kislin, Alisa C. Gifford, and Misty M Little. Worked in rocket science for Thiokol from 1983 - 2000. Moved to Arizona and worked for Orbital Science in ground missile defense through 2008 and then worked for Laron as the Regional Director of Quality for Nuclear Energy until 2009.
