David Fowler was born in Charleston, South Carolina, and moved to Florida in 1958. After graduating from college, he spent the next twenty years traveling the world, living in such places as the Far East, Africa, and South Asia. Returning to the United States, he began working as a librarian in public education in the Panhandle of Florida. Through the years, he has earned graduate degrees in International Studies and in Library Science. He has also developed a fluency in French and Lingala languages. David Fowler currently resides with his family in the Panhandle of Florida.
