A published author with over 60 research publications (refereed) to his credit, including several books, and over 90 presentations at various national/international conferences. Senior Founder of the North American Society for the Sociology of Sport (an international society of scholars) Founder and Soke of Wa Shin Ryu Jujutsu (Japanese-based martial art). Teaches Jujutsu at UNM and at Sandia Budokan in Albuquerque, NM. Also oversee clubs at the University of Connecticut and Illinois State University.
