About

Gosh I have a shiny forehead. I was in the Marine Corps from 1969 -1971. I was a court reporter and was stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC. I have been married to Pam since 1972. We have a daughter and a son. Both are married with two daughters. My daughter's family lives with us at the present because circumstances of the current economy necessitated it. My son-in-law is now driving school bus and likes the driving part. My son is in the Coast Guard and is making a career of it. We have a black Pomeranian named Sheba and are taking care of my son's cat Charlie for the time being (which means for life). I bowl in the winter and play golf in the summer and watch all the NCIS I can. When family sends around email surveys which ask the question "Where would you like to be right now?" I always answer that I like being home. I have swam in the ocean, and slept on top of the mountain, and snorkeled in Hawaii, and driven a car 200 mph down the highway, (back in the 70s before there were so many police and I was young and stupid) and have done many (not all) the things kids did in the 60s and 70s and I like being home. I write and edit an online website called www.ramblingsmagazine.com.

Favorite saying

  • "My current favorite quotation comes from a song: That's just the way it is - some things will never change - that's just the way it is: "AHHH BUT DON'T YOU BELIEVE THEM!" They say the world is what we make of it. I think we can make it better. Today they sing: " We're waiting on the world to change" In the 60s we sang: "help share the load - if you cannot keep up then get out of the road 'cause the times they are a'changin" I say it is time we sang that again."
