Since leaving high school, I graduated in '87 & '90 from Sandhills Community College with an A.A.S. in Computer Programming (1987) and an A.S. in Physics & Mathematics (Pre Engineering). I attended UNC Chapel Hill for one year and studied Astrophysics and Geology. I have been working for the same company since 1993 (was AMP when I started, bought out by Tyco International in 1999, later to become Tyco Electronics, then in 2011, TE Connectivity....to figure, what's in a name!). Started out as an operator and moved up through maintenance working on high speed assembly platforms that manufactured sockets and other parts that go onto PC Motherboards. In 2001, I left the manufacturing environment and moved over to the Automotive Division. I have been working at the Electromechanical Components Laboratory in Winston-Salem since February 2001. There, I have worked on validation of current products and in R&D of new products under the engineering umbrella of TE Connectivity.
