About

I'm a Professional Jazz Musician who divides his time between New York and Pittsburgh, my hometown. Most of my days are spent practicing piano in my studio, in anticipation of upcoming gigs. I have begun incorporating more classical harmony and technique into my style as of late, especially Czerny, Bach, Debussy, Ravel, and Scriabin. My favorite jazz pianists are Art Tatum, Bill Evans, Monty Alexander, Dodo Marmarosa, Kenny Kirkland, Herbie Hancock, and Chick Corea. I recently graduated from Manhattan School of Music with a Masters in JazzArts. My debut gig in New York was at The Kitano on 38th and Park Ave. in 2010, which was a lot of fun. I work regularly with Italian Acoustic/Electric Bass virtuoso Marco Panascia, who also went to MSM on a full ride. My first CD as a leader is entitled "Out of the Gate", featuring trumpet virtuoso Sean Jones. I'm currently preparing music for my next cd, which will be released this year. When I'm not playing jazz, I enjoy the gym, golf, squash, skiing, watching dvds and movies at theaters, reading the New York Times, and traveling to Florida on vacation. Have a great day and keep swinging!!!!!!!!!
