My alter ego is Zero G. I play guitar for DEATH ALLEY MOTOR CULT My alter ego is Zero G. I play guitar for DEATH ALLEY MOTOR CULT I started playing guitar at the age of 13 due to my father turning me on to Jimi Hendrix. My first band was in junior high playing covers of AC/DC and Ted Nugent. In high school, I was influenced by the Sex Pistols, Black Flag and The Circle Jerks, which turned me on to the punk scene. I played drums for a punk band called The Cambodian Kids for about a year, but was always on the guitar writing hard, fast punk tunes. All the while, still listening to Ozzy, Motorhead, Iron Maiden and any cutting edge metal. The Cambodian Kids opened up for bands like Minor Threat, MDC, The Fuck Ups and Social Unrest. They also opened for many shows in the Bay Area, Fresno and the Central Valley. I helped create the Vicious Bunnyz, a skate type Sex Pistols punk band and played with The Faction, Sin 34, 45 Grave and tons of local bands. I created Burnin' Bob and the Big Boys where I played guitar and wrote all the music and about ½ the lyrics. Burnin' Bob and the Big Boys played anywhere and everywhere with bands like DRI, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Dead Kennedys and tons more. The drummer from Burnin’ Bob and I created Erratic Behavior, a punk metal crossover band that was hard, fast and technical, and played shows with such bands as St. Vittus, Circus of Power, Dag Nasty and various local punk and metal bands. I then joined Eyes on You for a short time and then helped create Sticks and Stones. Both of these bands were modern radio rock that fit in with the times. Then I started getting back to the alternative punk stuff with Green Army Men, an energetic music with positive lyrics. Then I crossed paths with the old bass player from The Cambodian Kids and helped create The Strikeouts. The Strikeouts were a totally pop punk band that was about chicks, chicks and more chicks, where I sang and played guitar. When The Strikeouts were still together, I helped create Code of Silence with the bass player from The Strikeouts, which got me back into the “in your face punk.” Next was the formation of America's Dirty Thirtys, who played all over the Bay Area with tons of bands and released an Indie CD. The second CD was picked up by Yellow Dog records from Berlin. After taking a break for about a year doing studio work and working with other bands in my studio, I formed The Dead Garden with an old drummer from Code of Silence and an old friend, Dave Askew (Death Alley Dave). Currently, I am playing with Death Alley Motor Cult, which includes Death Alley Dave on guitar and vocals, The Falcon on bass and b/vocals and The Banker on drums.
