About

I'm thankful that asking Jesus into your life is more than just a transient relationship with a distant God. He is as close as my heartbeat and always available to me. He is the perfect parent who is always ready to hold me close. I have secondary-progressive Multiple Sclerosis, a degenerative form of MS. I was diagnosed in 1999, but one doctor thinks I've been dealing with it since 1990. I have been in a wheelchair since 2003.

Favorite saying

  • ""You're a hard man Conaghar." "It's a hard country kid." from "Conaghar" with Sam Elliot "Keep looking for the rainbow, and meanwhile, dance in the rain" Zoe Ashcroft "Some people go through life trying to find out what the world holds for them only to find out too late that it's what they bring to the world that really counts." Anne Shirley, Anne of Green Gables "Then Jesus took the bread, blessed it, and BROKE it, then he gave it to the people. How amazing that He allows us to be broken so that we may draw closer to Him and that He may be glorified. Today, I'm not praying "bless me Lord", but "take me, break me, and make me who YOU want me to be." Krista Brown Hamel "Every evening I turn my troubles over to God - He's going to be up all night anyway." Donald J. Morgan "When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don't throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer." Corrie Ten Boom "We talk of the second coming, while half the world has never heard of the first." Oswald J. Smith "Trust the past to God's mercy, the present to God's love and the future to God's providence." Augustine "It is only when I reach the end of my rope that I can see that God has been holding it all along." Havalyn Nesler "I have been pondering what it means to invite God into my day. I need to invite Him, not because He isn't already there, but because inviting Him in, in this case, means acknowledging He is there, that I am glad of His presence and I want Him to be active in whatever happens. God is a gentleman, He does not want to crash my party (life) He wants to be invited to it. I realize that I need to continually invite Him into each moment, each circumstance, each conversation, each encounter, and each thought." A thought I had on something Philip Allen said. "Chosen by God...Saved by Grace...Ornery by choice." "I am not what I ought to be, I am not what I wish to be, I am not what I hope to be; but, by the grace of God, I am not what I was." John Newton"
