About

I guess you could call me an old-time Hippie Homesteader. I moved from Northern Illinois to the Ozark Mountains in 1972 at the age of 20. My wife Maria and I live on our 80-acre subsistance farm near the small community of Fox, Arkansas. I have tried to live my life as close to the Earth as I possibly can. I raise most of my own food, my home and shop are off-grid and solar powered. and two of my vehicles run most of the time on used vegetable oil. I make a meager living as a Folk and Old-Time musician, supplimented by leatherwork and work as an MC, square dancer and dance caller at the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View, Arkansas
