"Live Strong" My Friends.... Experience: Rob Young is a graduate of “Musicians Institute” of Hollywood’s B.I.T program (spring ‘88) with over 25 + years playing experience in stage, studio, private / group lessons and bass clinics. Rob picked up the bass guitar at age 14 and by the time he turned 16 he was playing regularly in cover bands throughout the southeastern United States. At 21 years of age he was accepted into the B.I.T program where he had the privilege of learning from and studying under legendary bassists such as; Jeff Berlin, Stu Hamm, Tim Bogart, Gary Willis, even Billy Sheehan would stop by a few times a year to teach open counseling classes and clinics and well as countless other internationally acclaimed bassists. . Band(s): PRYMARY . In 2006 Rob was asked to join the progressive rock/metal band from Southern California PRYMARY, with the concept of having complete musical freedom the band a distinct chameleon quality allowing them to seamlessly fit in with acts from all genres. The sound created is a mesh of melodic prog metal/rock with an emphasis on musicianship, melody, and complex rhythms.
